The city of Houston is experiencing showers and storms in the northern part of the area. Apart from heavy rainfall and a risk of flooding, there may also be strong wind gusts and small hail.

Remember not to drive through flooded roads to ensure safety.

1. North Central Montgomery County, Southwestern Polk County, San Jacinto County, Southeastern Walker County until 4:15 p.m.
2. Northeastern Harris County, West Central Liberty County, Southeastern Montgomery County until 3:30 p.m.
3. Northeastern Grimes County, Southwestern Houston County, Eastern Madison County, Northwestern Polk County, Northwestern San Jacinto County, Southern Trinity County, Central Walker County until 3 p.m.
4. Northwestern Liberty County, Central Montgomery County, Southwestern San Jacinto County until 1:30 p.m.
5. North Central Montgomery County, Southern Polk County, North San Jacinto County, Southeastern Walker County until 1 p.m.

A flood watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Friday for various counties including Brazos, Burleson, Coastal Harris, Grimes, Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington.
